Cheng San Community Club’s location enables the CC to hold more outdoor events and offers simple access for park visitors and locals strolling to the MRT station. The CC includes a guest lounge, a theatre, and a rooftop patio in addition to its picturesque and natural surroundings. Community Integration:

Through its Grassroots Organizations (GROs) and Integration and Naturalization Champions (INCs), Community Integration PA assists new citizens and Permanent Residents (PRs) in settling in the community by giving them opportunities to connect and establish relationships with the locals. Through their involvement in various integration-centric programs and GRO programs/activities, new immigrants can build friendships and promote understanding among their neighbors and other community members.

The following three essential strategic measures get adopted by PA to help it achieve its main integration goal of expanding its reach and deepening its interaction with new citizens and permanent residents (new immigrants):

• Increasing outreach through partnerships with immigrant associations and other organizations
• Promoting increased awareness of integration through publicity and social media
• Stepping up local integration efforts through the Residents’ Committees and Neighbourhood Committees.

Community Dialogue:

The PA and its grassroots organizations often provide forums and seminars where citizens can learn more about government policies and programs, have addressed, and provide feedback to help them be improved. Citizens’ Consultative Committees (CCC) host community forums to give residents the chance to contribute to the development of their local communities and offer helpful suggestions for improving their particular neighborhoods.
