A suburban retail center called Compass One, originally known as Compass Point, is situated in the heart of Sengkang, Singapore. The mall and Compass Heights, a condominium complex next to the mall, were constructed as part of an integrated development. The mall, which debuted on 1 August 2002, closed on 26 October 2015 – for substantial renovations and reopened on 1 September 2016.

Ownership changes and refurbishment projects
After entering into a deed to purchase the final Compass One 18.99 percent of shares owned by Frasers Centrepoint, real estate fund manager M&G Real Estate got confirmed as the mall’s sole owner in December 2015.
The mall was formerly known as 1 Sengkang Mall because of a Facebook competition where the person with the most “likes” won $1000; however, the management changed the name to Compass One after learning that many preferred the previous moniker.
On 1 September 2016, Compass One reopened with 180 specialty tenants, a new interior design, and an updated internal layout. Levels 3 and 4 gets partially taken up by the Sengkang Public Library, which started operations on 18 March 2017. At Level 4, there will also be a play deck with a wet and dry playground. Japan Home, Kopitiam, and Cold Storage are the recurring tenants. At the same time Cotton On Body and Compass One opened, Rubi Shoes launched a single store.
The Sengkang MRT/LRT station, Sengkang Bus Interchange, and Compassvale Bus Interchange are all nearby, as is the Compass One Shopping Mall.
