Hillview Community Club
What To Know About Hillview Community Club
Better serve the locals, Hillview Community Club (CC), one of Singapore’s first community clubs (CC), has relocated back to its original site. Former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew formally opened the Princess Elizabeth Estate Community Center on May 5, 1963. The Bukit Gombak Community Centre took its place, moving to the vacant deck at Bukit Batok West. Despite this, it provided services and programmes to generations of locals.
Hillview Community Club has lush flora on its outside and interior facades in response to requests from locals for an eco-friendly CC. Additionally, it includes a unique rain collection mechanism that would aid in water conservation.
About
The new CC will officially open on Sunday, May 5, 2019, and neighbourhood residents may anticipate new programmes and facilities. Hillview Community Club includes creating more inviting areas for residents to connect and engage in social activities. Bukit Gombak Grassroots Organizations have worked to create several cutting-edge community programmes that are appealing to both young and old.
As an illustration, the Bukit Gombak EAGLES Interact Club (BGEIC) was founded in 2015 to develop young leaders in Bukit Gombak who had received the Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service (EAGLES).
Additionally some worthwhile partnerships with neighbourhood organisations provide a range of creative neighbourhood programmes to encourage social cohesion.
