Curriculum:

HCIS provides students with a six-year integrated curriculum that includes a four-year Integrated Program that progresses from the Foundation Program to the Pre-IB Program two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP).

The Foundations Program:

The program’s learning objectives are: Discovering with Depth and Engaging the Fundamentals (Years 1-2). Students get taught English, Chinese, Humanities (History and Geography), Science (Chemistry, Biology, and Physics), and Mathematics.

Pre-IB Courses:

The program’s learning objectives are: Managing Depth and Progressing with Skills (Years 3-4). According to school standards, pupils are encouraged to pursue a broad-based curriculum by teaching the following key subjects: Economics, Business Studies, Geography, History, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Integrated Mathematics are among the topics covered.

Certificate Program:

The program’s learning objectives include: Challenging Intellect and Anchoring for University (Years 5-6). The pupils follow the internationally acclaimed IBDP program for academic challenge and purposeful overall growth. It establishes a strong foundation for university preparedness based on intellectual involvement in educational activities.

Experiential Learning Program:

Students in the Middle Years Experiential Program go on a voyage of self-discovery. Students will be brought out of their comfort zones and taught to adjust to changing conditions through various selected activities. Ascension Program:

The Senior Years Ascension Program builds on the Middle Years foundation to encourage students to take an active part in defining their future. They will participate in activities that allow them to be creative and make a difference in the lives of others around them.
