Junction 10: About Them And Their Foods

At the intersection of Choa Chu Kang Road and Woodlands Road in Bukit Panjang, Singapore, is Junction 10, formerly Ten Mile Junction.

Background

Ten Mile Junction, a shopping centre, debuted in 1998. The Far East Organisation is the owner.

It was accessible from the Bukit Panjang LRT line’s Ten Mile Junction LRT station, which was then open but has been closed permanently – as of January 13, 2019. The complex, which also includes the Ten Mile Junction Depot next to the station, has a platform on level 3.

The shopping centre shut down on December 10, 2010, and Junction 10 reopened on December 30, 2011. Similar to Bishan’s Junction 8, it gets abbreviated as JUNCT10N.

Reopening

After reopening, Junction 10 and The Tennery, a private housing estate occupying levels four and above, were combined to create a mixed-use development. They get made up of 338 modern Soho-style loft apartments with a range of recreational amenities like tennis courts and outdoor swimming pools.

Mindchamps Preschool, Fitness First (formerly Celebrity Fitness), and Sheng Siong serve as its anchors (occupied by Giant Hypermarket). The two-level mall also has a built-in parking lot and is home to family restaurants, lifestyle retailers, beauty & wellness services, and tuition centres.
