Campus
On February 20, 2004, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Acting Minister of Education, opened the Pioneer Junior College facility at 21 Teck Whye Walk. The campus has four lecture theatres for scheduled academic lectures and college events and entertainment. The largest lecture theatre, Lecture Theatre 4, holds 600 people.
The Library of Ngee Ann Kong Si
The College library, the Ngee Ann Kong Si Library, has individual consulting rooms with tables, seats, and whiteboards. Students can study independently during breaks, after school, or during late-night study sessions at the library, equipped with study cubicles.
The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is an air-conditioned student recreational space run by the College’s Student Council, located above the Ngee Ann Kong Si Auditorium. After courses, unwind in the designated area, including couches and games. Students would occasionally be able to purchase vintage school goods at a reasonable price. The Sanctuary is open to students during the Student Councillors’ designated opening hours. The netball court, squash court, futsal court, basketball court, 8-lane track, field, and the gym are other facilities.

Language Elective Programmes
Since January 2019, Jurong Pioneer Junior College has offered the Malay Language Elective Programme (MLEP) and the Chinese Language Elective Programme (CLEP), which moved from Pioneer Junior College.
Chinese Language Elective Programme
The Ministry of Education (MOE) has designated Jurong Pioneer Junior College as a Chinese Language Elective Program (LEP) Center. CLEP students must take Chinese Language and Literature at the H2 level. H2 China Studies in Chinese or H2 Translation are two CL-related subjects that interested students might take.
Malay Language Elective Programme
Pioneer Junior College (PJC) as Singapore’s 3rd Malay Language Elective Programme (MLEP) in 2012. The Malay Language Elective Programme (MLEP) get established by the Ministry of Education in 2001 as a platform for students who have a strong desire to learn Malay at a higher level. The program includes various activities to improve student’s language skills and interest in the Malay language, literature, and culture. MLEP will continue to get offered at Jurong Pioneer Junior College in 2019.
Citizenship and Character Development
The Jurong Pioneer Junior College’s Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) program goal is to instill values and develop 21st-century skills (social-emotional competencies, civic literacy, global awareness, and cross-cultural skills) in our students to be good individuals and useful citizens.
Uniform
The uniform for Jurong Pioneer Junior College gets developed by alumni from JJC and PJC and the school’s first cohort of students in 2018. A white shirt/blouse and dark blue pants/skirt are the present uniforms. Every Monday morning until 1030 a.m., students wear a maroon tie; for other official events, students wear grey blazers and ties.
