K2LD is an architectural firm dedicated to producing exceptional modern architecture. The practice’s main project demands are in the large-scale retail and sports sectors, but it also has mixed-use, infrastructure, and public realm projects in its portfolio.

An opportunity has arisen for a Practice Manager to join our Melbourne studio and use their analytical skills to improve efficiency and address organizational challenges in areas such as business strategy, finance, and resourcing in order to maximize project profitability. To create connections with K2LD’s stakeholders, the chosen applicant will have remarkable attention to detail, a problem-solving approach, and communication/influencing abilities.

Principal Responsibilities

Tendering at the studio

Staff resourcing on a weekly and long-term basis across projects, including planning, monitoring, and fixing gaps or shortcomings.

Monitoring project profitability, which includes analyzing, reporting, and making suggestions in order to maximize project returns.

Continually improving project activities throughout the studio by assessing and documenting existing processes and, when necessary, implementing new procedures across the organization.

K2LD’s operational procedures are continually audited against ISO standards, and the yearly accreditation and renewal process is managed, as well as recommendations for additional quality and process accreditations.

Conduct frequent internal project audits on present systems, reporting on areas of non-compliance, and collaborating with the project team to establish new processes to avoid future non-compliance and enhance performance.

Qualifications and Experience

High School Diploma

At least 5 years of experience in a comparable position is required.

Project management experience is desired.

Knowledge of appropriate software, such as Microsoft Office, Xero, Adobe, and project management systems is required.

Having the capacity to juggle many priorities and operate independently under duress.

Demonstrating abilities in dealing with work that need extreme precision and attention to detail; and

Demonstrating your abilities to study and make suggestions

When dealing with external stakeholders on behalf of Directors, demonstrate a desire for building and sustaining excellent relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Part-time: Salary scale $85,000-$95,000
