Before 1971, they installed roadside bus stations along Clementi and South Buona Vista roads. Pasir Panjang Road Bus Terminal opened on May 2, 1971, alongside Pasir Panjang Road near the intersection with Clementi Road. It is to relocate bus services from Keppel Harbour Bus Terminal, affecting Bus Services 145 and 146, which get cleared to make way for the development of Pasir Panjang Port. More bus services have been shifted frequently to the terminal after many bus clarifying activities.
On August 16, 1981, Kent Ridge Bus Terminal opened to replace the former curbside Pasir Panjang Road Bus Terminal. The area was near the then-newly built Kent Ridge Campus for the National University of Singapore (NUS), next to the Eusoff Scholar Residential Corridor, and opposite the Varsity Park condominium. The NUS Internal Shuttle Bus (ISB) routes B and C were to be built at Kent Ridge Terminal when the demolition of Kent Vale Bus Terminal was to make way for the NUS Kent Vale residential complex. The station is also a stopover point on route BTC1/BTC2.
The protected pedestrian link between the Kent Ridge Terminal and the new Ventus building beside the College of Arts and Social Sciences, and the NUS internal link bus stop, were refurbished by NUS in 2013/2014. A second path leads to the flyover bridge, which serves some bus stations along Clementi Road.
Kent Ridge Bus Terminus is a bus terminal in Kent Ridge, near Clementi Road and the National University of Singapore (NUS) campus. The bus terminal primarily acts as an arrival point for bus services serving the NUS campus and residential complexes in the Pasir Panjang and west coast areas. In addition to regular public bus connections, the terminal serves NUS internal bus services. There are no rail connections.
The terminal, which opened in August 1981, features a single waiting room with distinct entrances and exits to Clementi Road. The terminal contains a covered bus stop for embarkation and disembarkation and a bus parking space in the center of the terminal for bus stops. A terminal building has an office and a driver’s waiting area. As a stopover for numerous NUS ISB routes, the bus terminal also has an automated driver login kiosk for ComfortDelGro Bus (NUS’s bus business).
On the other hand, Kent Ridge Terminal is a different environment. It is a modest bus station on Clementi Road that first opened its doors in August 1981. The terminal is served by public bus lines 10, 33, 95, 151, 200, and 201.
