The Centrepoint Entrance

Two main changes.

The mall has undergone two major renovations. The first, which cost $4 million, was completed in 1991. At the time, the Centrepoint management committee surveyed to find out what customers desired, and nice bathrooms were at the top of the list. After then, automatic flushing systems were installed in the toilets. Minimise business inconvenience by renovations carried out at night. The second major renovation, which took place in 2015, was estimated to cost $50 million.

The Orchard Road entrance was widened, and a new drop-off and pick-up point on level one was added to make it simpler for families with children and the elderly, according to The Straits Times. Despite the mall’s second major makeover, Metro’s decision to depart The Centrepoint could indicate more trouble for the property as it competes with large and newer malls in the Somerset area.
