It was renovated in the late 1990s, becoming a contemporary glass-covered structure. It’s been called “posh and sleek.” The Paragon began an $82 million facelift in January 2008, which included a $37 million land premium to expand its commercial space on the nearby site that was once a site of The Promenade as its new wing. It saw the addition of three more floors of office and medical space as well as new retail stores.
The renovation finished in December 2008 under the direction of the architectural firm DP Architects. With a modern façade, Paragon first appeared. To increase the vibrancy of Orchard Road, the URA had urged property owners to construct more intriguing and distinctive building facades. The Paragon was named one of Singapore’s top five retail malls by Forbes in January 2017.

Dining At Paragon
At Paragon, there are numerous dining options. Visit one of the many restaurants located throughout the mall. One of the best places at Paragon for special occasions is Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck on level 5. You must order the duck in advance because it sells out quickly when making a reservation.
The duck is prepared traditionally by a chef at your table, and for the duck-dining experience, it’s worth spending a little extra to get some fried with ee-fu noodles. There are many additional meals, such as vegetables and Sichuan hot and sour soup. The plan is to order a few dishes to share with family and friends.
Arriving at Paragon Shopping Center
MRT service is available; go to Orchard Station and exit at Exit A. Many buses, including night buses, stop at the Lucky Plaza bus stop. A taxi stand gets located outside when entering the parking lot from Bideford Road. Parking is provided and is paid by the hour from Monday through Saturday.
