Want To Visit The VivoCity In Singapore?

In Singapore’s Bukit Merah Harbour Front district is a shopping centre called VivoCity.  It has 142,854 square metres of gross floor area distributed over a three-story shopping complex two basement levels is a large shopping mall in Singapore. Its net lettable area is 99,987 square metres (1,076,250 square feet), while its gross floor area is 142,854 square metres.

Its name derives from the word vivacity, created by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito. VivoCity “evokes a lifestyle experience that is modern, engaging, and accessible to everyone, a place boiling with energy and flowing with vitality,” says Edmund Cheng, chairman of Mapletree. VivoCity was named one of Singapore’s top retail malls by Forbes in December 2016.

Because VivoCity features event spaces, outdoor eating along the 300-meter Promenade, and a sizable roof-top amphitheatre differs from the standard box format of many current (and prospective) retail complexes in the area. Since its debut, The Sky Park has gained popularity among people of all ages and backgrounds. Families and kids like hanging out in the mall’s open areas and Play Court. Children frequently play at the Promenade and the entrance area with the water features. In addition to the Play Court downstairs, many kids enjoy playing in the wading pool on the third floor. It is a well-liked location to overlook Sentosa. Some people also have picnics in the mall’s outside area. VivoCity’s layout makes it possible to house more than 300 tenants, many of whom are brand- and retail-related startups. In 2006, VivoCity served as one of the settings for first Singapore. It is the only location where the Singapore Biennale displays permanently.

From August 16 until September 14, 2016, the mall is hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival Fair in the atrium if you enjoy mooncakes. Watch out for the several different fairs that take place throughout the year. During these exhibits, expect to find a wide range of goods at low costs, including fragrances, household goods, electronics, and many other items.
