A Guide to the Wonderland Playground at Dawson Vista

The New Wonderland Playground at Dawson Vista gets inspired by Lewis Carroll’s iconic children’s book “Alice in Wonderland,” published in 1865. The whimsical thematic design incorporates traditional components such as slides, see-saws, climbing platforms, and trampolines to inspire children to explore and play together.

This Alice in Wonderland-themed outdoor playground is tucked away amid the HDB buildings and among the trees. The Wonderland Playground at Dawson Vista is not that difficult to discover, as it is located just behind the multi-story Carpark and gets marked with signage. The playground at the HDB gets divided into two age groups. The Twins Illusions, which meet guests right outside the entrances, can be a lot of fun for children aged 2 to 5. Have some fun with your mirror-like tums, Twiddle-dee and Twiddle-dum.

Meta Description

The Alice in Wonderland playground at Dawson, with its colorful play structures, will provide lots of entertainment for kids.

The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland

As you approach the playground, you get the sensation that you’re entering the world of Alice.

Adults and children, as well as those who “shrink” into the playground, have two separate entrances. You’ll notice a lot of references to Alice in Wonderland and recognize more of the characters from the book right away. On the other hand, the playground is meticulously built to match the concept, and playing “Ice and Freeze” or “Tag” in such a fantastic setting adds an extra depth of imagination!

The trampoline and see-saw will appeal to the younger children, while the climbing structures, connecting ropes, and slides will appeal to the older children. The Cheshire Cat keeps an eye on everything that happens.

Aspects to Play

The playground isn’t very large or well-equipped with many different types of play equipment. It does not compare to the vast Playgrounds of Marina Cove or West Coast Park, nor the number of play features at Tiong Bahru Park or Admiralty Park.

Resting Spots and Shaded Areas

There is a shaded rest area on the playground. Although it probably only supports one household, the space gets pleasantly covered thanks to the numerous trees. After the play session, you can also rest or have your supper at the nearby hawker center!

Cheshire Cat at the Wonderland Playground

The Cheshire Cat can be spotted high up on a branch at the tree house construction, smiling away! The top of the tree home gets connected to the ground via an orange slide. A bridge connects the Tree House and the Mushroom Adventure. Around the Alice in Wonderland Playground at Dawson Vista, kids can look for more connections to the children’s novel, such as playing cards and the Mad Hatter’s tea urn.

A real tree stands in the center of the Dawson Vista playground. You can only imagine how spectacular it will be when it grows, as it is still young and growing.

Children will enjoy the Alice in Wonderland Playground in Dawson Vista. “I used to believe that kind of thing never happened when I read fairy tales, yet here I am in the middle of one!” said Lewis Carroll.
