Hougang Polyclinic history
The Hougang Polyclinic was originally an outpatient clinic that started operations in 1991. The clinic moved to its current location in 2002 and has since become one of the busiest Polyclinics in Singapore. The clinic offers a variety of services including primary care, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and mental health counseling, Dental Services , Diagnostics Services , General Medical Services , Health Screening , Pharmaceutical Services. The National Healthcare Group (NHGP) officially marked the transfer of ownership of Hougang Family Medicine Clinic (FMC) to Silverhope Clinic Pte Ltd, at a handover ceremony held on 13 September 2018. The clinic has been in operation since 2000 and is one of the oldest clinics in Singapore. The clinic provides primary care services for patients living in the Hougang area. NHGP Family Medicine Residency Programme is a three-year training program that provides family medicine residency training to eligible medical students. The NHGP Family Medicine Academy, which is an affiliated center of NHGP, offers a five-week residential program for medical students who are interested in undertaking family medicine residency training. Through the programmes, NHGP plays an integral role in the delivery of primary care training in Singapore. Hougang FMC is the third and last FMC that NHG has handed over to private partners after successful collaborations. The FMC, located in Hougang, covers an area of around 2,000 hectares and has a population of around 350,000. The FMC was initially developed as a NHG estate but it now functions as a mixed-use development with a commercial area, residential areas and a healthcare precinct. It has been collaborating closely with the Hougang FAMC (Foundation for Medical Care and Research) clinic. This close collaboration has resulted in the referral of more than 4,000 patients with chronic conditions to the latter. The clinic has also established strong partnerships with various healthcare providers such as the National University Health System (NUHS), Northview Healthcare and Changi General Hospital.

The Hougang Polyclinic is a medical clinic located in the Hougang area. It provides services such as consultations, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and maternity services. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 4 30 pm on Saturday. On Sundays and public holidays, the clinic is closed.

How do we get there
NHGP commemorated its 20th year of serving the Nee Soon community with the official opening of redeveloped Yishun Polyclinic on 3 November 2018. Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Health and Senior Minister of State for National Development, Mr K Shanmugam officiated at the event. The clinic underwent a three-year redevelopment project that cost over $1 million. The clinic will offer outpatient services, including general practice, family medicine, and paediatrics.
