Courses Available at Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club
Only Paya Lebar Kovan CC has an Adventure Park, which includes Height Traverse (a station with a pulley station) and Nitro Crossing (which tests participants’ ability to swing from side to side). And Mohawk Walk (a station with cables to balance from side to side) and numerous other stations. The Park is ideal for team-building exercises for adventurous events like orientation and leadership programs for various organizations.
Additionally, the Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club sponsors a women’s soccer team and actively plans numerous soccer events for female residents of the neighborhood. It promotes friendship and brings the female division members closer together. For locals, there are many appealing courses. In addition to courses offered by the Pottery Club, they include yoga and stretching sessions.
The PLK Paddlers, a mixed dragon boat made up of people from many areas of life, and the Tchoukball Interest Group are two examples of interest groups. The PLK Paddlers have represented the Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club honorably over the past two years, taking home victories at the Northeast Dragon Boat Championships, PA Paddles Championship All-Stars, and the Aljunied GRC Championship.
The various varieties of clay will get introduced to the participants. They will practice basic clay structure molding to exhibit their creativity in clay modeling. The teaching will include coiling, slab building, throwing, glazing, and firing techniques.
Requirements – first-come, first-served policy will apply to registration. Additionally, the firing charge of $30 is due to CC, and the material fee (clay) is due to the trainer for payment of $25.
Recreational Karaoke Pop Singing (Mandarin)
The basics of singing, breathing exercises, and diaphragm training will get covered by the participants. Additionally, they will study musical pace and pronunciation. The emphasis gets placed on reading rudimentary musical notation.
Requirements – existing students alone may enroll in this course. First-come, first-served policy will apply to registration. You can bring your microphone, but participants must wear masks while not singing. Disposable microphone covers will get offered.
Latin American Ballroom Dance 101 (For Children)
This introductory Latin America Ballroom Dance is an excellent opportunity for your youngster to explore the fantastic world of ballroom dancing if they enjoy it but are unsure where to begin. Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive are among the dances performed throughout Latin America. The students will gain knowledge of proper body alignment, develop an appreciation for music and its rhythms, and establish more cordial and helpful relationships with others. The kids love it, and it helps them gain confidence.
Requirements – a Latin American Ballroom Dance for Kids course gets offered here. Ms. Lydia will concentrate on Cha Cha (Intermediate). Children aged 6 to 12 are welcome to enroll in this workshop.

For N2, K1, K2, and P1 pupils, iBrainMath Mental & Mathematics Preparation for P1 (IBMP) is a 2-in-1 comprehensive Mental and Mathematics program (Aged 4 – 7 years). All P1 Mathematics Syllabus and Mental Math get covered via IBMP-structured coursework. The IBMP bridges the gap between Kindergarten and Primary One by fully exposing children to various mathematics concepts.
