Tampines North Community Club
Everything Should Know About Tampines North Community Club
The meeting areas where everyone in the community is welcome are some of the most significant components of cities and states. These facilities may be secular or religious, privately or publicly sponsored, but many have visually compelling facades that have drawn the interest of both building groups and architecture enthusiasts. The Tampines North Community Club is a colourful mosaic of six blocks of various sizes and forms finished in 1989.
On one end of the rectangular property, the Tampines North Community Club Largest structure is a multi-purpose hall. To promote air circulation and provide diagonal pathways across the centre, the other blocks, each housing activity such as recreation rooms and sports facilities, was organised.
A three-story high structure of evenly spaced twin columns holds the various components together. A covered walkway surrounds the colonnade’s periphery, reinterpreting the conventional five-footway. Additionally, it is built with glass bricks infill rather than plaster and paint, echoing the organised facades of the nearby public housing complexes. The club’s main entrance protrudes through this frame as an obstruction with an unnatural shape.
