URA Closes Tender for Two Sites at Slim Barracks Rise
The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has closed the tender for two residential with commercial at first storey land sites at Slim Barracks Rise on Tuesday, as part of their first half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme. The two sites, located within the one-north precinct, were smallish and beat a residential site in a tender that closed at 12 noon on 28 September. JLL’s senior director of research and consultancy Ong Teck Hui commented that the Parcel A and Parcel B pair were “a good reflection of the healthy demand from developers for well-located sites”.
In conclusion, the URA’s first half 2021 GLS programme has released a total of 11 sites for tender, including two residential with commercial at 1st storey sites at Slim Barracks Rise and four residential sites within the one-north precinct. Potential bidders for the two sites at Slim Barracks Rise are expected to range from 8 to 10. The Confirmed List contains 10 private residential sites (including 5 EC sites) and 1 commercial site, which can yield around 6,000 private residential units in total. With the launch of these sites, JTC is making steady progress in its efforts to increase the residential space in one-north.
