The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched the first half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme, which includes two residential sites at Slim Barracks Rise (Parcels A & B), one at Jalan Tembusu, and one at one-north Gateway. URA has closed the tender for the Slim Barracks Rise sites, and four other sites on the Confirmed List have been launched for tender. This includes a residential site at Yio Chu Kang Road / Bukit Timah Link and Hillview Rise, which have been zoned for Residential use with a maximum Gross Floor Area (GFA). All remaining sites on the Confirmed List will be launched soon.

Overview of the URA’s First Half 2021 GLS Programme

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has launched two residential sites under the first half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme. This includes two 99-year leasehold sites at Slim Barracks Rise (Parcels A & B). The URA also has six residential sites, two White sites and one hotel site remaining on the 2H2021 Reserve List and will be carried over to the 2H2022 Programme. Furthermore, a brand new residential development is set up to be launched in 2021 by Government Land Sales (GLS). All these sites have been released under the confirmed list in the first-half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme.

URA Closes Tender for Two Sites at Slim Barracks Rise

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has closed the tender for two residential with commercial at first storey land sites at Slim Barracks Rise on Tuesday, as part of their first half 2021 government land sales (GLS) programme. The two sites, located within the one-north precinct, were smallish and beat a residential site in a tender that closed at 12 noon on 28 September. JLL’s senior director of research and consultancy Ong Teck Hui commented that the Parcel A and Parcel B pair were “a good reflection of the healthy demand from developers for well-located sites”.

In conclusion, the URA’s first half 2021 GLS programme has released a total of 11 sites for tender, including two residential with commercial at 1st storey sites at Slim Barracks Rise and four residential sites within the one-north precinct. Potential bidders for the two sites at Slim Barracks Rise are expected to range from 8 to 10. The Confirmed List contains 10 private residential sites (including 5 EC sites) and 1 commercial site, which can yield around 6,000 private residential units in total.
