An Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) called Boon Lay Bus Interchange is situated at Jurong West Central and serves Pioneer Industrial Area and the neighborhoods surrounding Jurong West. The interchange, which is integrated inside Jurong Point retail mall and The Centris condominium and is close to Boon Lay MRT Station, is Singapore’s fourth air-conditioned bus interchange. The Jurong Central Park and Juong West Community Building are two nearby public amenities. Boon Lay Bus Interchange anchor operator at the moment is SBS Transit. The future operator of the Jurong West Bus Package will take over as the anchor operator of this interchange with the Bus Contracting Model (BCM).

The Interchange:

Boon Lay Bus Interchange is a bus station situated in the Jurong West residential area. The interchange, which joins with Boon Lay MRT Station along the East-West MRT Line, serves as a transportation hub for commuters traveling into and out of the city and provides easy access to the rail network and a variety of bus services. Boon Lay Bus Interchange, which debuted in June 2009, was Singapore’s fourth Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), following the openings of Toa Payoh in May 2002, Sengkang in January 2003, and Ang Mo Kio in April 2007. The interchange combines retail, residential, and transportation facilities under one roof by being integrated into Jurong Point’s retail area while also occupying the ground level of The Centris condominium.

Boon Lay Bus Interchange Parking 

The interchange has two vehicular concourse zones: West and East, and The construction completely enclose a sizable bus park, five linear boarding berths, and six sawtooth boarding berths incorporated into the main West concourse. There is a unified vehicle entrance/exit for Jurong West Central 3 in both the East and West vehicular concourse zones.The pedestrian entrances and exits of the interchange concourse get situated along Jurong West Central 3 and Jurong West Street 64.

Boon Lay Bus Interchange Guide

 The TransitLink Ticket Office, which accepts contactless cards, is open every day from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Boon Lay Interchange restrooms get used to charging visitors who are not employees of public transportation companies.

Historical Background:

  • 1975 saw the official opening of Boon Lay Gardens Bus Terminal.
  • Opening of Jurong Bus Interchange in 1978, with some services moving from Boon Lay Gardens
  • Jurong Interchange gets replaced by Boon Lay Bus Interchange after its opening in 1990.
  • In 2006, Boon Lay Temporary Interchange over management of the business.
  • 2009: Opening of the New Boon Lay Bus Interchange
  • 2010 saw the transition of all bus routes to the new junction.
  • In 2015, brand-new Joo Koon bus interchanges opened, and new routes 256 and 258 connected Joo Koon with Boon Lay. Services 182, 182M, 254, 255, and 257 get shifted, while Services 194 and 251 were adjusted.
