Choa Chu Kang Neighbourhood is, often spelt Chua Chu Kang and shortened as CCK, are a planning area and residential town in Singapore’s West Region, located near the north-westernmost point. Sungei Kadut to the north, Tengah to the southwest, Bukit Batok to the southeast, Bukit Panjang to the east, and Western Water Catchment to the west from the town’s boundaries. The Kranji Expressway divides the Choa Chu Kang Neighbourhood of New Town into two halves.
Originally a kampung, the region has swiftly expanded under the Housing and Development Board’s intention to turn it into a modern township. Choa Chu Kang Central, Choa Chu Kang North, Yew Tee, Teck Whye, and Keat Hong are the town’s seven subzones, five of them being the most heavily inhabited.
Parks and Gardens:
The park is located in Singapore’s northwestern region, spans 11 hectares of land, and offers inhabitants a variety of recreational opportunities in the Choa Chu Kang Neighbourhood. A toddler’s playground, a galaxy playground, an adventure playground, a multi-purpose exercising court, a fitness corner, a pathway, a small skate plaza, and even event spaces are all available in the park. Furthermore, in the early mornings and nights, Choa Chu Kang Park is an excellent site for bird enthusiasts to enjoy the symphony of chirps.
Shop:
Choa Chu Kang’s large retail mall, Lot One, is located near the Choa Chu Kang MRT and LRT stations Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange. Lot One is home to a supermarket, a movie theatre, a library variety of other restaurants, apparel boutiques, and other businesses. Residents may readily obtain their daily requirements at smaller shopping malls, such as Choa Chu Kang Centre, Keat Hong Shopping Centre, Limbang Shopping Centre, Sunshine Place, Tech Whye Shopping Centre, Yew Tee Square, and Yew Tee Point.
Choa Chu Kang – Move:
The Choa Chu Kang MRT Station is on the North-South line, and the neighbourhood is served by a Light Rail Transit (LRT) system, with LRT stations positioned across the area so that people may conveniently access public transportation. Choa Chu Kang LRT station is connected to Choa Chu Kang MRT station, allowing people to move between modes of transportation with ease. These stations are also connected to the Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange, allowing residents to transition between modes of transportation with ease.
Library:
Choa Chu Kang Public Library in Lot One Shoppers’ Mall, which opened in 1997, has undergone multiple substantial renovations in terms of facilities and the number and volume of materials. The surrounding farming economy impacted the library’s design, which has a lot of green and wood tones. Choa Chu Kang Public Library gets now undergoing renovations and expects to reopen in 2021.
