In light of fast worldwide change, the school’s Applied Learning Program – Growing the Edgefield Mindset aims to produce Edgefielders with qualities that prepare them for the future.
From sharpening critical and imaginative thinking skills, collaboration skills, and advanced life skills like to bouncing back from failures – G.E.M prepares our students with advanced problem-solving skills to become more successful. In line with the school’s aim of cultivating “Collaborative Innovators, Compassionate Leaders,” the student will be an entre/intrapreneur.
The G.E.M program got constructed after considering future trends – ideas and viewpoints from global and local – sources of intelligence – such as the World Economic Forum and the Institute of Policy Studies (Singapore).
Future-Ready Initiative
There is an earthquake. There is mayhem. There have been reports of people going missing and possibly getting trapped somewhere. They have only 8 minutes to flee – they will perish. Edgefield’s search crew starts to work right away, surveying the area and looking for the victims. But how would the small team search 8000 square meters in such a short period? Drones can be programmed and deployed! The drones will provide them with an aerial view of the situation, allowing them to see signs of human life and gather vital information to assist the rescue team – in the right spots.
