DEVELOPMENT OF EL

EL Development Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based real estate development and investment firm.

It began as a minor business unit under Evan Lim & Co. Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s premier builders, and was formed as a separate company in 2007.

Since then, the business has worked on a number of property development and redevelopment projects, including private enbloc sales and government land sales.

EL Development Pte Ltd began as a modest business unit inside Evan Lim & Co. Pte Ltd, one of Singapore’s top builders. Rhapsody on Mount Elizabeth, the company’s first high-end residential property, was completed in late 2006 and sold out in less than six weeks. The business launched its first industrial development, Nordix, a multi-user stratum named terrace factories in Woodlands, in early 2007, and it was a huge success, with the project selling out in less than two months.

As the unit developed in size, the management determined that a distinctive identity was required to concentrate on the property sector. As a result, in June 2007, the business unit EL Development Pte Ltd was legally established as a distinct company.

LATEST UPDATES

What’s New EL Development and Accor have signed a memorandum of intent for Accor to operate a new hotel on Hill Street. The planned hotel will be Singapore’s first Pullman Hotel.

EL Development purchased Dunearn Gardens for S$468 million in an en bloc deal on May 16, 2018. The business plans to rebuild the property into a high-rise luxury residential building with 348 apartments ranging in size from one to four bedrooms.

SingTel sold the Telephone House at Hill Street to EL Development for S$118 million on April 14, 2018. The building will be rebuilt into a high-end hotel with 350 rooms.
