Platforms

The North-East Line (NEL) and the Circle Line (CCL) use two platforms in an island platform design at HarbourFront station, located in Basement 2. The air-conditioned station is separated from the tunnel environment by full-height Platform screen doors, which improve commuter safety and station comfort. All platforms are connected to the concourse and transfer linkway one story above via escalators, stairs, and lifts.

Expected train arrival times and messages get displayed on passenger information systems, which are plasma display panels positioned at each platform. The visually impaired can use tactile flooring to navigate from the platform to station exits and other train platforms on linked rail lines.

Only Platform A will get used to turnaround trains during off-peak hours on the NEL. During the busiest times, both platforms will get utilized. CCL passengers exit from Telok Blangah trains on Platform A. Trains will change tracks and return to Platform B to pick up new passengers for the next leg of their journey.

Concourse

Basement 1 is home to the North East and Circle Line ticket concourses. They include fare gates for automatic fare collection and access between paid and unpaid portions of the station and at least one bidirectional wide-swinging gate for passengers in wheelchairs, those carrying heavy objects, or those traveling with prams.

Commuters can buy single or multiple journey tickets from General Ticketing Machines, which also accept contactless card transactions. During operational hours, travelers can make travel queries at the station offices on each concourse.
