The school believes that our children’s education should extend beyond their time with us and that they should be prepared for life afterward. We aim to emphasize the development of school values and 21st-century competencies as we move forward in the future so that our children will be able to navigate the unpredictable but exciting future. Pioneer Primary School opened in January 1995 as Juying Primary School, with 19 classrooms. It relocated to Jurong West St 81 on April 16, 1995.
Philosophy, culture, and ethos in the classroom
To realize the vision, the school establishes four strategic thrusts (STs):
- Exam-Readiness to Future-Readiness We provide a comprehensive and future-ready curriculum that uses technology to help students build 21st-century skills. Through Project Work, students may personalize their learning, reflect on their work, think critically, and participate in regular deep comprehension.
- From Desire to Self-Control. We provide a mediated learning experience through various customized programs to help our students build their love, abilities, and tenacity for learning. We instill discipline in students’ thinking, living, and acting to increase their enjoyment of learning.
- From Instruction to Transformation The teacher is an essential factor in a student’s success. The school emphasizes staff development in teaching, curriculum, and evaluation. Our instructors get the knowledge and abilities to convert their pupils into successful adults, educating them to obtain high grades.
- Partnerships with Parents and the Community in a Synergistic Way The relationship between the school, parents, partners, and community is a crucial aspect of Pioneer’s excellent level of education. We established our collaboration system to provide genuine impact and opportunity for our students to grow.
