Chua Chu Kang Secondary School get established in 1992 with only ten instructors on staff. The first batch of pupils, consisting of 318 students from the Express and Normal (Academic) streams, started school in 1993. The school constantly strove for improved standards, and in 2003, it was named one of the top 20 Value-Added Schools by the Ministry of Education. As part of the school’s Learning for Life Program, the school carved out a place in the field of youth and community leadership. The school celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012, and a series of movies get made to mark the occasion. Due to Singapore’s declining birth rates, the Ministry of Education stated in 2021 that Chua Chu Kang Secondary School will merge with Teck Whye Secondary School in 2023.
