Greenwood Primary has a long and illustrious history, and this year marks its 21st year. They have watched and celebrated many of the school’s milestones and triumphs over the past two decades. Greenwood Primary’s achievements are only possible because of the school’s devoted leaders and mission-focused employees and the strong support of the Greenwood Primary School Advisory Committee, parents, partners, and the community

The young shoot in the school crest, which reflects the school community’s continuous growth through learning together, perfectly captures this theme of learning and progress. The Greenwood Primary School aspires to holistically develop and grow children by providing fantastic and happy everyday learning experiences inside and outside of the classroom.

Distinctive Programs and Services 

LLP – WHIZZ 

According to the institution, Character and leadership education provides students with the moral compass to face challenges in an ever-changing global world. The values-based inquiry method gets used by WHIZZ. Inside and outside the classroom allow students to use thinking skills and systems like Appreciative Inquiry (AI), Systems Thinking, 6 Thinking Hats, and the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) Cycle. Design Thinking tools are used in an intentional process to generate fresh, alternative ideas and perspectives for real-world challenges. WHIZZ improves personal effectiveness by allowing students to think critically, creatively, and reflectively to make constructive contributions to society. The programs included in the WHIZZ curriculum are as follows:

Values in Action (VIA)

ALP – BLISS (Bilingual Literature ApprecIation Student Series)

To help students acquire bilingualism skills, the school has created BLISS, an Applied Learning Program that combines inquiry and literature appreciation. BLISS is a program for students to appreciate literature. Students are taught and required to practice Socratic Questioning and Philosophy for Children to develop 21st-century competencies like creativity and critical thinking, cooperation, communication, and information skills. Pupils are encouraged to use reasoning and arguing abilities to build meaning and viewpoints and connect them to real-world societal issues throughout the literature discussion.
