Know All About Holland Village Neighbourhood
Holland Village Neighbourhood, situated outside Orchard and near the Botanic Gardens, is an ex-pat area progressively gaining popularity among young Singaporeans. Many businesses opened along Lorong Liput and Lorong Mambong, once Dutch neighbourhoods, with the express catering objective to these European families. The Holland Village Neighbourhood is still populated by upper-class ex-pats, with shops transitioning into restaurants and pubs that cater to this demographic.

Holland Village lacks Orchard’s massive shopping malls and many of Orchard’s homogeneous neighbourhoodsneighbourhoodneighbourhood. Individual shopping establishments in this neighbourhood, on the other hand, have distinct personalities, and shopping here is a very personal experience.
There are two shopping malls in Holland Village: Holland Road and Holland V. The largest of the two is a tangle of stores that have become institutions in this neighbourhood, such as Lim’s Arts & Living, a home furnishings store, Lipo, a watch store, and Thambi Magazine Store. This eclectic mix has given Holland Village a bohemian feel, though you’ll find the usual suspects like Watsons and Breadtalk.

Holland Village MRT Station is directly in the heart of the village. Buona Vista, Farrer Road, and one north on the Circle Line are some of the other MRT stations. The East-West Line passes through Buona Vista MRT Station, allowing easy travel to and from parts of the country via public transportation.
Parks and Gardens
Holland Village Park, located at the intersection of Holland Road and Holland Avenue, is a haven of peace and tranquillity that contributes to the attractiveness of Holland Village. This 0.3-hectare park, which is triangular and gently descending, offers inhabitants a little break from the city’s hustle and bustle. Relax in the shadow of three mature rain trees. Alternatively, try the Park Gastro Bar. Although Holland Village lacks large parks, its handy location allows easy access to numerous green places. The Botanic Gardens of Singapore are only a few bus stop away. If you believe it’s too mainstream, check out Rail Corridor, a hidden gem. This picturesque section, which spans from Woodlands to Tanjong Pagar, was once the railway connecting Singapore and Malaysia.
