Guide To Know About The Kent Ridge Secondary School
Kent Ridge Secondary School On 2 January 2000, opened its doors at 27A Jubilee Road, the old Yusof Ishak Secondary School site, under the guidance of the inaugural Principal, Ms Chamb Cherk Ing. The school moved to its new location at 147 West Coast Road in December 2001, and Mr S Iswaran, Member of Parliament for West Coast GRC, formally inaugurated the school in March 2003. Mr Koh Chong Mong, the school’s second Principal, took over in 2006, and Mrs Anba Saroja, the school’s third Principal, took over in December 2012. Mr Benedict Keh, the current Principal, joined the school towards the end of 2018. The success of the school may attribute to the teachers. Teachers at Kent Ridge Secondary School go above and above in leading and supporting their students to become Gracious Citizens, Passionate Learners, and Resilient Leaders. The Kent Ridge experience continues to be defined by professors that urge students to explore ‘Beyond Frontiers.’

The ethos of compassion and quality that pervades Kent Ridge Secondary School is unmistakable. Our enthusiastic and devoted team, guided by our motto of ‘Every Student Counts,’ put our children at the centre of all we do and go to great lengths to instil the correct values. This dedication to excellence was recognized at the national level in 2013 when one teacher received the President’s Award for Teachers. In 2015, the Best Practice Award (Student All-Round Development) recognized our comprehensive program. Kent Ridge Secondary School is proud of the work we’ve done to help our children develop the heart of a saint, the passion of an inventor, and the will of an Olympian. As we continue to explore ‘Beyond Frontiers,’ we are excited to reach new heights.
