Community Youth Leadership – Learning for Life Programme (LLP)

Community Youth Leadership, a component of the school’s Learning for Life Programme (LLP), is a platform for developing leaders across Meridians.

The Meridian Secondary School Student Leadership Framework depends on Kouzes and Posner’s Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, the Meridian Way (We Care, We Learn, We Innovate).

Character & Citizenship Development

Meridian Secondary School places a strong emphasis on developing Meridians to become decent citizens with good character. They instil values and develop social-emotional competencies so that they may adapt and prosper in a changing environment through the programs and structures in place.

Internationalisation Programme

The Overseas Learning Journey (OLJ), which culminates the academic year, has been one of the trademark programs for the secondary three cohorts since 2018. The Internationalisation Programme at the school believes that it is an ideal component of providing a balanced education both inside and outside the classroom. As a result, they are committed to giving every student the chance to travel abroad with the school at least once during their 4-5 years of education.

School Football Academy (SFA)

The SFA program is a significant outlet for youth development as one of the projects under the Unleash the Roar! The program aims to assist student-athletes in balancing academics and athletics, allowing them to develop into players who get well-versed in both talents and academics.

School crest

The school crest is designed with two neighbouring peaks to signify the unification of Coral Secondary School and Siglap Secondary School, formed by the letter M for Meridian Secondary School. The summits are lofty and sturdy, exuding strength. Innovation, Leadership, and the Arts get represented by the colours silver, blue, and green. The silver peaks represent a forward-thinking environment where creative thinkers can flourish. Two blue and green pillars support the silver summits, preserving the schools’ tradition. The blue pillar represents leadership, while the green represents the arts. Together, they reflect Meridians’ power and solidarity as they strive to achieve new heights.
