What to Know About Punggol neighborhood

Punggol often spelled Ponggol, is a new town and planning area in Singapore’s North-East Region, located on the Tanjong Punggol peninsula. The town shares riverine boundaries with Seletar to the west and Pasir Ris to the east and is immediately bordered to the south by Sengkang. The Straits of Johor run through the town to the north and northeast, and Coney Island is part of the PUNGGOL neighborhood planning area.

Punggol is home to two shopping malls: Punggol Plaza and Waterway Point. Punggol Waterway Park is located along the Punggol Waterway and gets specifically built to appeal to inhabitants of all ages, allowing them to participate in leisure activities such as jogging and cycling along the waterway. You can hire a bicycle at Punggol Point End in

Punggol Waterway Park if you don’t have one and still wish to pedal. The various bicycle designs are available for rent. Because you’re so close to the water, you can participate in water activities like wakeboarding, skin diving, fishing, and late-night prawning.

Horse and pony rides, and carriage rides, are available at Gallop Stables at Punggol Ranch. Because horseback riding is an uncommon activity in Singapore, Punggol has an advantage over other areas.

Move

Punggol currently has one MRT station, Punggol MRT Station, on the North-East Line, with another station on the same line set to open in 2023. In addition, the Punggol Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, which has fifteen stations, travels through the district. Next to the Punggol MRT station is a temporary bus interchange.
