What to Know About Punggol neighborhood
Punggol often spelled Ponggol, is a new town and planning area in Singapore’s North-East Region, located on the Tanjong Punggol peninsula. The town shares riverine boundaries with Seletar to the west and Pasir Ris to the east and is immediately bordered to the south by Sengkang. The Straits of Johor run through the town to the north and northeast, and Coney Island is part of the PUNGGOL neighborhood planning area.
Punggol neighborhood has a plethora of water recreational facilities, parks, and bike routes, making life in the area lively and entertaining.
There are several housing possibilities in the Punggol neighborhood, particularly condominiums and HDB apartments – this does not include unfinished developments.
Parc Centros, River Isles, and A Treasure Trove are three new condominiums built and provide outstanding amenities for those interested in buying or renting a property. Waterbay condo, RiverParc Residences, and [email protected] are some of the upcoming buildings.
Drink & Eat
Punggol and The Punggol Settlement are the two largest food districts in Punggol. For those looking for a nice lunch or an equally fantastic drink, these places have eateries open throughout the day and at night.
The Bacon & Booze and Frienzie Bar & Bistro are the two bistro-cum-bars in Punggol. They have a good selection of whiskey and good food to go with it; bacon fans will be especially enamored with Bacon & Booze, as one might anticipate.
Punggol is home to two shopping malls: Punggol Plaza and Waterway Point. Punggol Plaza is conveniently located near the Coral Edge LRT Station and offers various services to residents, including banking, medical services, hairdressing, and dining. It also contains a Wet Market, a supermarket, and a food court where locals may buy fresh products.
Waterway Point, next to the Punggol Waterway and the Punggol MRT/LRT station, opened in 2016. It contains several businesses and services geared toward children, including learning centers, a dry and wet playground, and an interactive water fountain play area, as it is a family-oriented mall.

Punggol Waterway Park is located along the Punggol Waterway and gets specifically built to appeal to inhabitants of all ages, allowing them to participate in leisure activities such as jogging and cycling along the waterway. You can hire a bicycle at Punggol Point End in
Punggol Waterway Park if you don’t have one and still wish to pedal. The various bicycle designs are available for rent. Because you’re so close to the water, you can participate in water activities like wakeboarding, skin diving, fishing, and late-night prawning.
Horse and pony rides, and carriage rides, are available at Gallop Stables at Punggol Ranch. Because horseback riding is an uncommon activity in Singapore, Punggol has an advantage over other areas.
Punggol currently has one MRT station, Punggol MRT Station, on the North-East Line, with another station on the same line set to open in 2023. In addition, the Punggol Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, which has fifteen stations, travels through the district. Next to the Punggol MRT station is a temporary bus interchange.
