Know About The Best Teaching Techniques In Admiralty

History:

Admiralty Primary School, was opened in 1997 at Woodlands Circle, began with 45 classes. The school is located in the heart of a thriving public-housing community and serves the estate’s rising population of students. Admiralty Primary was able to explore, invent, and innovate because it was still a relatively young school. On June 26, 1999, the school first opened its doors. Admiralty Primary School has grown stronger since then, focusing on providing all-round education that allows pupils to reach their full potential and prosper in an ever-changing environment.

Programs and services are unique:

With the rise of globalisation, it is more necessary than ever for our students to develop global awareness and cross-cultural abilities that will enable them to understand and collaborate with people from all walks of life in Singapore.  Admiralty Primary School Learning for Life programme on Appreciating Diversity and Building Cross-Cultural Skills helps our students develop the proper attitude toward cultural diversity, knowledge of diverse cultural practises and worldviews, and skills to attain this aim. As a result, students will be able to comprehend, communicate, and effectively connect with individuals from other cultures both within and outside of Singapore.

Philosophy of CCA:

Students will be assigned to the CCA of their choice and encouraged to adopt a flexible and adaptable mentality to stay committed to learning and achieving.

All CCAs strive to be developmental, allowing students to learn new skills that can be transferred to other CCAs, particularly those not offered by the school.

Students would have the opportunity to enhance their leadership and social abilities through CCA. It allows pupils to feel more at ease and incorporated into a welcoming educational environment. To thrive holistically as students, they need a supportive and consistent atmosphere.

Sexuality Education In Admiralty:

In schools, Sexuality Education (SEd) aims to help students understand the physiological, social, and emotional changes that occur as they grow older, develop healthy and rewarding relationships, including those with people of the opposite sex, and make wise, informed, and responsible sexuality decisions. The centrality of the family as the fundamental unit of society is the foundation of SEd. It entails promoting happy, heterosexual marriages and stable nuclear families with the help of extended family members. SEd is taught and learned with respect for the values and beliefs of Singapore’s various ethnic and religious communities on sexuality concerns.

Overseas Learning experience:

Primary 1 through 4, students learn about many cultures through classroom lessons, art study, and excursions to various cultural sites. They also take part in conversational language modules and host international students in the classroom to study the language of other cultures.

It follows an Overseas Learning Journey (OLJ) to learn about the cultures of other countries. The ALJs were first introduced in 2011 to provide our students with an authentic immersion experience in a new culture, allowing them to develop self-confidence and independence away from home.
